Calvario (Avant-garde Metal)

Calvario es una banda ecuatoriana de Avant garde metal formada
a mediados de los 90. Con cuatro álbumes publicados juntan elementos del Rock, Funk,
Punk y Metal alternativo junto con Heavy, Doom, Thrash y Groove metal, sumado a
elementos de la música clásica, latinoamericana y ritmos autóctonos del Ecuador.
La discografía de Calvario se lanzó oficialmente en 2004 con
el álbum ‘Peregrinaje’ seguido de ‘Aires de amanecida’ y el EP ‘Sacrificio
divino’ de 2005. Luego, publicaron dos compilatorios en 2010 y 2014. En 2019
vuelven con ‘Ancestral’ y en 2023 con su primer álbum en vivo ‘Diverso metal’.
Calvario is
an Ecuadorian Avant garde metal band active since the mid-90s. With four albums
published they bring together elements of Rock, Funk, Punk and Alternative
Metal along with Heavy, Doom, Thrash and Groove Metal; added to elements of
classical music, Latin American and indigenous rhythms of Ecuador.
Calvario's
discography was officially launched in 2004 with the album 'Peregrinaje',
followed by 'Aires de amanecida' and the EP 'Sacrificio divino' in 2005. Then,
they published two compilations in 2010 and 2014. In 2019 they return with
'Ancestral', and in 2023 with their first live album 'Diverso metal'.
