El líder de la banda, Nergal, ha expresado que eligieron deliberadamente un título provocador, rechazando la sutileza en favor de una declaración directa y polarizadora. Frontman Nergal has stated that they deliberately chose a provocative title, rejecting subtlety in favor of a direct and polarizing declaration. This approach is reflected in the album's cover art, featuring an inverted version of the Christogram "IHS", symbolizing a subversion of the sacred and a direct confrontation with religious conventions.
The album's production was handled by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios, renowned for his work with bands like Emperor, Enslaved, and Rotting Christ.
