Incantation - Sect of Vile Divinities (2020)

Incantation es un banda estadounidense de Death Metalformada por Jonh McEntee y Paul Lendley en 1989. Ellos son uno de los líderes en la escena del Death Metal neoyorkino junto con Suffocation e Immolation, a pesar de que la banda se encuentra afincada actualmente en Johnstown, Pensilvania. Incantation se caracteriza por mezclar ritmos muy variados en su música, a menudo jugando con pasajes lentos, similares a las realizadas por bandas de Death/Doom como Autopsy. Hasta la fecha, la banda ha publicado nueve discos de larga duración, dos discos en vivo, cuatro EP, dos singles, tres splits, un DVD, y tres demos. La banda ha visto muchos cambios en la alineación de su historia y el guitarrista John McEntee es el único miembro original. Incantation se dio a conocer con ' Onward to Golgotha' y 'Mortal Throne of Nazarene', que cuenta con Craig Pillard en la voz. Tras la publicación del EP 'The Forsaken Mourning of Angelic Anguish' Pillard abandona la banda siendo reemplazado por Daniel Corchado, Corchado aparece en un solo álbum, 'Diabolical Conquest' de 1998, antes de partir. El vocalista Mike Saez realizó en los dos siguientes álbumes, 'The Infernal Storm' (2000) y 'Blasphemy' (2002). A partir de 'Decimate Christendom' John McEntee asumió responsabilidades vocales, un papel que continúa hasta el presente.
